I have worked for King’s College London for ten years and Artic Building Services are one of only three contractors that I have used from the first day. The reason I still work with them is simple, but not that common; they are offer a technically competent, customer focussed, value for money service. They provide me with a ‘one stop shop’ for the maintenance and installation of a comprehensive range of building services, from air conditioning through to specialist services such as the re-validation of fume cupboards.Unusually for an M&E contractor, the quality of their ‘back office’ function matches that of their technicians and I rarely have problems with their response times for breakdowns, management of projects, invoicing, etc. Communication, at all levels of the company, is one of their key strengths.
They are also keen to embrace new technology, such as their recent introduction of PDA based work management for their technicians, which has made their whole operation even more responsive.
In short, they offer the service I want at the right price and, on the odd occasion when something doesn’t go according to plan, there are no arguments; they just put it right.
