Commercial Hard FM Win: Maidstone Innovation Centre

Artic Building Services is excited to announce its new commercial hard FM partnership with Maidstone Innovation Centre. Spanning over a total of 3 years, the contract includes maintenance for mechanical and electrical assets across the commercial research building located in Maidstone, Kent.

Maidstone Innovation Centre is a new hub for med-tech, life science and healthcare that creates a vibrant environment for innovation, collaboration and growth. Looking for a company to ensure a comfortable and safe environment to support their ecosystem of imaginative growth, Maidstone Innovation Centre reached out and invited Artic to tender for the facilities management of the building. With its expansive experience in managing commercial sites, Artic won the tender to manage the M&E facilities at Maidstone Innovation Centre.

As part of the contract, Maidstone Innovation Centre will have a specialist Artic engineer to attend site and carry out all contract specific planned preventative maintenance (PPM), keeping asset performance optimised throughout the building’s laboratories, workshops and research space. The PPM schedule for the building has been tailored to the clients needs, ensuring that the delivery of M&E maintenance doesn’t interfere with the daily operations of the site. Alongside Artic’s expert engineers, Maidstone Innovation Centre will also have a dedicated contract management team, including a Contract Manager and contract administrator to maintain a high-quality service.

The contract includes both specialist and compliance services such as heating, ventilation and air conditioning maintenances, as well as enhanced services like water treatment with specialist engineers to conduct works efficiently and effectively in line with SFG20 standards. Placing importance on an open line of communication, the client has direct access to raise any concerns regarding the facilities with not only the Contract Management team, but also Artic’s Business Unit Heads. Ensuring there is minimal site downtime, the client will also have access to Artic’s dedicated 24/7/365 helpdesk making its service flexible and reactive to Maidstone Innovation Centre’s needs.
