Artic Building Services is a committed partner to its clients and with its strong dedication to being an efficient partner to the healthcare sector aligned its own CAFM system to theirs. As part of this, Artic has been working in collaboration with MRI for over three years to create a bespoke system that provides Artic with a robust and comprehensive suite of CAFM deliverables needed for its client base and as part of its Healthcare division.

Building Optimised Hard FM

To ensure it had the system in place,  Artic invested in creating ‘MRI – Super Users” within the company to support in the development of the CAFM system to Artic’s vision. With a strong collaboration with MRI, this led to the creation of Artic’s dedicated Digital Transformation Team, who, due to their skills and enhanced training through MRI, offer real partner solutions and support to our client base. Due to choosing a CAFM system that aligns with its healthcare partners, Artic’s Digital Transformation Team has been able to work hand in hand with healthcare estate teams in developing their own systems, reports and functionality to be more efficient for their own needs.

Artic’s team worked with MRI to build efficient workflows and reports that accurately track data and assets whilst ensuring that the system remains intuitive, streamlined and uncluttered to keep it user-friendly whilst also maximising the potential of background data and tracking so that Artic’s clients can always remain informed on their site and assets.

No Compromise on Compliance

Artic has worked with MRI to ensure that their Evolution CAFM software is able to import all PPM standards to prioritise compliance on site at all times. Artic imports both SFG 20 standards and, to align with its healthcare partners, the NHS HTM standards, which allows Artic’s engineers and contract management teams to be better equipped to optimise asset lifespan and performance for every client.

Optimising Healthcare Estates

Since partnering with MRI, Artic has assisted in the deployment of MRI Evolution to five healthcare trusts. With Artic’s support, the facilities estate teams have been able to unlock the benefits of MRI Evolution themselves whilst receiving the unique support Artic’s Digital Transformation team is able to offer for their hospital environment outside of the usual hard FM delivery models.

From the very start of any healthcare contract, Artic uses its CAFM system to accelerate the rate of mobilisation. When Artic mobilises a new contract, MRI Evolution provides a complete suite of trackable data sets right from the outset. This provides crucial information for:

• Asset Lifecycle Management: Ensuring all equipment and facilities are tracked from installation through to maintenance and eventual replacement.
• Precise Locational Data: Utilising longitude and latitude for accurate mapping and deployment of resources.
• Hazard Identification: Proactively documenting and managing potential risks on site.

To support a continued drive towards making estates more energy efficient, Artic is looking to enhance its energy solutions with MRI Energy to help optimise assets, reduce costs and meet sustainability targets. CAFM systems are a key to adopting smart technologies and increasing the efficiency of any estate through adaptive solutions. The Artic Zero department at Artic focuses on creating energy efficiency with its partners and inevitably works hand in hand with the capabilities of MRI Evolution as it continues to explore new options for optimisation. With the continued development of AI, Artic is also looking to invest in these areas to create a strong interface with all other software functions and optimise real time data capture and GEO fencing.
