Wellness and Staff Mental Health
At Artic, employee welfare sits right at the top of our list of priorities, and we have a range of initiatives to look after our staff. We’re always looking for new ways to promote good health and create a positive workplace culture for all.
To ensure our staff always have someone to talk to, we have appointed numerous Mental Health First Aiders (MHFAs) throughout the business. They have received training to help them spot early signs of mental health problems such as stress, anxiety and depression.
Our MHFAs are often the first point of contact for employees that need support. We encourage our employees to talk to one of our MHFAs if anything is troubling them because we don’t want any of our team to suffer in silence.
Our Health Assured App
To provide further support, we also have the Health Assured app “My Healthy Advantage” which is free to all Artic staff. We regularly promote the use of the app because it’s designed to improve individuals’ mental and physical health.
The app encourages each user to add their personal metrics and set individual goals which they can track. The app provides a platform for communications, rewards progress towards goals and also provides useful information about wellbeing.
We strive to give our time, experience and assistance within our social and business community. We support our staff in raising money for any charities they recommend, but we have a few that we work with more regularly:
